Whenever I get terribly out of a normal sleeping schedule and end up doing things like pulling an all-nighter for no discernible reason other than "I didn't really quite feel like sleeping, so I didn't", my brain tends to end up in a Bad Place.

Today's specific bad place is "How can I simultaneously permit myself to be even more lazy at work, while actually increasing productivity?" My theory is to come up with a way to make a Ghost or Sysprep post-processing script that throws a text-message-via-email to my cell informing me "Hey, your shit's done". My only problem with this would be control. How would you control something like that? Some kind of queue, rigged to a 10 minute cron job that only throws a text message if there's something in the queue, and then clears the queue? That'd prevent it from going nuts and spamming my phone with 30 text messages when a lab finishes or whatever.

Luckily today instead of doing something crazy like that I was able to distract myself with TF2. No programming for me! Feverish programming is for Other People. [01.11.08@14:27]
