i can now scratch one more band off my list of "bands i will definitely go back in time to witness their shows live once i get a time machine"*. the band this time around is alice in chains, recently reformed after the death of layne staley. they're on tour, supposedly their last under the name alice in chains, and i have tickets to their show in orlando in october.

will i be able to find someone who cares about alice in chains as much as i do to accompany me to the show in two months? only time will tell. unfortunately, my social skills and associated track record seem to indicate that it will probably end up like the radiohead concert i attended a few years back. but hey, maybe that'll change.

* i really do have such a list. with my time machine, i intend to see hendrix, at least one show from the wall tour, a nirvana show before they were cool, STP before the release of "no. 4", and the smashing pumpkins before "adore". it will be the best week of concerts ever. but i need a time machine first. Dear Converse,

Thank you for redesigning your previously perfectly good standard HTML & CSS website into an unusable 100% Flash piece of shit.

I just woke up from a horrible nightmare about a real piece of software I wrote getting deployed despite being woefully incomplete. Like I somehow managed to forget to write like . . well over half of it.

Yes, I am fully aware that it is pretty fucking lame that my nightmares don't end with me running away from some death monster or getting eviscerated by a serial killer, and instead end with me feverishly tapping away in front of a text editor with a deadline ahead of me. [08.30.06@06:55]
