after months of scraping together cash, and weeks of waiting for everything to ship and get here, i've finally assembled naota, the computer i'll be dealing with for quite awhile. it's nice, and big, and functional. and it amazingly only took about an hour or so to get it running how i like it once i actually got xp on here. getting xp installed, however, was another story in itself.
i still haven't gotten the clock/multiplier stuff set right, and i really need to buy some pc3200 ram, but thats not really pressing stuff. i'll fix it later. i'm running on about two hours of sleep, which i got between 1000 and 1200 today. tired enough that i think i sent a trouble-free techsupport request to the wrong e-mail address. in fact, i'm rather sure i did it. hopefully they'll fix what i asked and i won't have to contact them. but i really hope they don't fuck it up. or maybe they won't get it at all. maybe i hit cancel, and just hallucinated the "your message has been sent" screen. all of these are viable possibilities, as i'm very very tired. bleerrg. i've been Busytm lately. still rather busy, actually. things are about set with my computer for awhile, though. some time in the near future i might get around to dropping some cash on a gig or so of pc3200 ram, but right now i'm focused on paying off my current machine. i've got a month till skizzers expires, too. need to get around to renewing that, but i've also got skizzers and skifyre.com coming up, and those both get dumped on my credit card.
i think i'll pay off my current balance when brian comes through. then i'll toss the skizzers domain renewal on the card. then hope that hosting renewals don't gangrape me.
at some point, i'd like to be able to pick up the nwn and warcraft 3 expansions, and i'd like blockbuster to not suck so i can rent wario world and the new pseudo-megaman.exe game for the cube.
at some point i'd also really really like to get a dvd burner, even if it's just for storage right now. anything to make my storage system easier to deal with. i currently have well over 300 cdr's full of shit sitting at the foot of my bed. sure, i've got 'em all organized, but i'd be able to condense the stuff sooooooo much if i converted it all to dvd. but i really can't be bothered to do proper research required to figure out what i should get. the variety still scares me a whole lot. i figure i'll get around to that some time around september.
anyways. the decision decider claims that i should be watching tv now. but instead i decided to disobey it to give some updates. i think for now i'll blame this update on some kind of bizarro dream i had about .plan files. sounds valid enough. [06.24.03@16:46]
