my current priorities. in order! you know, cause thats what makes them priorities!

  1. finish unreal 2 [update: done]
  2. finish brian and sam's website [update: just need some stuff ok'ed ]
  3. do whatever work may be needed on site 2 [update: just need it ok'ed]
  4. finish skifyre.com [update: done]
  5. hunt down the guys at NLA, and finish their website [eta: middle of next week]
  6. redesign /inpheaux [update: done]
  7. finish off large chunks of my anime queue. i'd like to finish watching samurai deeper kyo [done], since i have it all, and all of mahoromatic season 2 [done], because by the time i get to it it'll be finished. i'd also like to work off the queues of gundam seed, kiddy grade, spiral, and naruto, since they're quite sizable. [eta: soon as everything else is done]

the goal here is to have my slate completely cleaned off when feb 17th rolls around, so i can spend some quality time with the bonus discs which will be coming as my zelda preorder gift from nintendo. wuv u nintendo <3 <3. then i figure the rest of february will be doing odd jobs that come up, and quality time playing through ocarina of time and ocarina of time: master quest. and probably further work on clearing off my anime queue. anyways, enough sitting here and listening to the minibosses do megaman 2. time to knock off #1. moments ago, my viewing of the live coverage of the end of the space program was interrupted by someone else looking for handouts. i'm sick of this. so no more mp3.txt, no more anime.txt. since their location is probably still linked by google or whoever it was that spidered both lists [probably google, tricksy google], i've uploaded a lovely replacement file. enjoy!.

now. back to the live coverage of the demise of the space program. [02.01.03@10:20]

i just woke up from a weird dream. it was about wandering around the internet using some kind of 3d tactual web browser, with a working flash plugin. i found this one site, and it was pretty neat, but i decided i wanted to leave. so i was trying to leave, and all of a sudden it jumped on me and pinned me to the ground. then it started wispering the national anthem and poured lukewarm coffee on me.

and the coffee was made of bees.

that's a really mean thing for a website to do. [02.17.03@07:58]

aaaand we're back to monospaced. i wuv u courier. i'm just about done with the current phases of all my active projects at the moment. i've got maybe 2-3 hours of work to do with project #2, which is mostly consistency checking and polishing. most of the actual work with that was done last week. formatting of giant scanned images etc. project #3 is mostly down to writing documentation and cleaning up my mess, but it's being held back by a third party who i'll probably hunt down when i wake up in a few hours. project #1 is effectively done, but is in the process of moving servers. that should be done by the end of the week, then i get to convince my client that we need to go back and finish a large gaping postponed hole of doom.

after that, it's time to get business cards made up and start getting my name out in the world. and possibly get around to finding the guys at newlife, to get them out of the way. i really don't feel bad about how long i've postponed their redesign. i did my best a few months ago to stick around, get them to give me feedback, etc. but after awhile, they just gave up and did other stuff, so i went to do other stuff too. which just happened to be all the work i've done since winter, including all these new projects. and they haven't sent out the search squad for me yet, so i'm not worrying. i told them i had work to do, and i did have work to do. if an excuse is legitamate then might as well use it.

oh, like the redesign? it took just over two hours. i had the layout done at one hour-in [which i know, because thats how long razorblade suitcase is], and then spent the second hour [the length of the science of things] colouring it in, tweaking it a bit, and formatting the text and such. i like it because it's all text/css, is once again functional on a wide variety of browsers and resolutions, and doesn't have to resort to messy icky painful things like javascript and onload functions.

and it's monospaced. i like monospaced. i think the next thing on tap would be to beat up edit thingie and make it a bit more sophisticated, and possibly use mysql for no discernable reason. now, time to enjoy my nightly bounty from usenet. [02.26.03@05:25]

not exactly the best way to wake up. i left cnn on and unmuted last night. when i vaguely rolled over a few moments ago, the nice anchor informed me that mr rogers had died due to cancer. it's more than a little pathetic that this is the worst news i've gotten all month, but still, it sucks a lot.
