ho, all. yes, i'm still here. we're entering the crunch time down here in ib. good news, though, i've been accepted to umass lowell, my first choice uni, which is a decidedly good thing. since all i need now is to acquire the money to go, which should be possible from grants, loans, and scholarships. but hey, i'm secure now. for once. for once in my life i actually have lead-time. i mean, going in to ib i was near the end of the waiting list. i didnt know i was in untill way in the middle of the summer. so. ugh. i need sleep, but i also need to code. i think i'll do an hour or so of coding, then get some sleep before turning in tonight. but yeah, i'm doing much better now than i was a month ago. thanks go out to the two people who actually felt like responding. oh, hey, and i was mentioned o'er on tom7's blog-type-thing cause i've got mad screencap skillz. so... right. i've got stuff to do. oh, and yes, out on the startpage there is some ver' early ian mccaig concept art of darth maul. p33r him. muh. well, that simplifies things significantly. i've officially crossed perl off my list of languages to learn, and have replaced it with php. as of right now, i know enough to get by with stuff. still need to learn php includes, but after that i should be fine. currently still working on one of my cas projects of a semi-automatic attendance gathering site for ids that as of right now is going to encorporate loads of javascript and loads of php. i've got pretty much everything figured out, though. main hump to get past right now is finding out how to stuff only the data i want into the makeshift php-based sendmail replacement. after passing that, i really shouldnt have any problems. then its just about replacing the toy data i currently have with *real* data, and then documenting how to use it, then installing it next monday after school and giving a short introduction deal to how it works tuesday after school. but thats all still a week away. and i've still got 34 hours to log in it. so. yeah. ugh. anyways. thats what i've been working on for the past six hours. actually, the past six hours have more or less consisted of me beating on the poor php program, desperately trying to get it to cooperate with javascript. but i've got that little bit working now. i just have to figure out how to pass the right data out.
