A/N: I’ve been wanting to do a tag for 2010 for a while now – probably since the first time I saw the episode a couple years ago. This sj100 challenge gave me the perfect excuse! *grin* I still haven't written anything Sam/Jack that hasn't been a drabble. (Well, I haven't written anything decent enough to post. Same thing, really.) Her first thought on waking was, “I made it through.” Her second was, “God, they’re so young.” It wasn’t their physical appearances – they were identical in looks to the ones she’d left. The ones who had died. The difference was in their eyes, she thought. They still had something – hope, purpose – that she had lost years ago. She had lost so much. The other Sam and her Colonel stood together, at ease with each other. She watched them as she told her tale. Saw the look they exchanged. It was brief, but telling. Things would turn out differently this time.
