"I’ve been busy." He was standing in front of the desk now. "The paperwork will still be there later." Her response was silence. The concern in his voice intensified. "You need sleep. Everything you’ve been through –" "I’m fine." So why could she no longer see the paper in front of her? "Elizabeth?" She was shaking. She couldn’t fall apart, she had to be strong – But then his arms were around her, and she came undone.
