The recent movie 'The Lord of the Rings' was a wonderful movie, but it seems to me that they went through an awful lot of trouble finding all those tiny actors. There was a much more elegant solution that they overlooked. That's right. The Muppets. The Muppets could have done the movie at a fraction of it's cost and at the same time added their own style and flare to the classic tale.

The movie starts off featuring Gandalf(Sam Eagle) and Frodo(Kermit) in the quite town of the shire.

Eventually Gandalf(Sam Eagle) realizes the importance of Frodo's(Kermit's) Ring of Power and comes back to check on it.

Finally it is decided that Frodo(Kermit) and his loyal friend Sam(Fozzie) will set off to carry The Ring to the Prancing Pony Inn where they will meet Gandalf(Sam Eagle).
Frodo(Kermit) : I'm right over here Sam. What's the problem?
Sam( Fozzy ) : Well, it's just that I made a promise, sir. "Don't you lose him, Samwise Gamgee" he said to me, and I said  "Lose him? I don't even remember where I left him! Wocka Wocka!"
Frodo(Kermit) : Hm. You're lucky he didn't turn you into a toad.

When they get there Gandalf isn't anywhere to be found but they meet up with Strider(Sgt Floyd) and they proceed to Rivendale eventually assisted by the lovely elf Arwyn(Janice).

Once there they form the fellowship of the ring where they gain such characters as Gimly(Gonzo) the dwarf, Boromir(Zoot) the other human,  And Legolas(Scooter) the elf.

Then they set off again towards the Land of Mordor to destroy The Ring.

Along the way they must travel through the Mines of Moria.

Finally, they make it to Lothlorien, the nation of the Wood elves, ruled by the beautiful elf princess Galadriel(Ms Piggy).

The movie ends on a touching note when Sam(Fozzie) nearly drowns attempting to follow Frodo(Kermit) across a river to complete his quest.

Frodo(Kermit) : Samwise, bears can't swim!
Sam(Fozzie) : Now he tells me. *gargle*
I can't wait for the other two movies.
