Universal Labor Commission
Lego Workplace Safety Division
Dear Sir,
It has come to our attention that you have been employing Lego workers in
sub-standard, and un-safe working conditions. We have been referred to your
website: http://www.skizzers.org/andy/lego.html by kind-hearted souls who
have seen the deplorable state of your computer-assembly factory.
And you had the temerity to record them for the whole world to see? We
would not have believed it until we have seen it ourselves. From your own
pictures, we have seen various violations of the Universal Lego Workers
Labor Code:
1. Section I-3 (a) - Zoning Violation - You have used the premises of your
house as a computer-assembly factory in violation of Universal Zoning
Regulations.
2. Section II-5 (e) - Safety Equipment - This section states that all
worker are REQUIRED to wear safety helmets WITH visors. We have seen several
workers without visors. There were also workers seen just hanging inside
your CPU chassis without proper harnesses.
3. Section V-2 - Safe Work Practices - We have seen plenty of horsing around
by your workers, who seems to have not been properly oriented with
occupational safety guidelines.
4. Section VII-7e - Medical Aid - No medical aides were seen rushing to
help the poor worker who got nearly crushed by your floppy drive. And who
was not brought to proper medical facilities for check-up and first aid but
was left to seat by the side.
5. Section X - Miscellaneous Matters - You also seem to have allowed two
visitors wandering around your work site - an obvious failure in securing
your location!
As this is your first violation, the high commissioners have recommended a
written warning, plus copies of your website address will be sent out to
various departments for distribution to other concerned agencies.
In the future, we hope that you will not forget that all our workers
deserve safe working conditions that will lead to better productivity.
Respectfully yours,
(sgd.) Commissioner GOwin
