Created as a christmas present for a close friend.

I had originally inked my line drawing with the intention of adding some simple tones to give it depth. However, after playing around with tones, I realized that the black background with the white foreground was perfect.

From there, I took it into Illustrator and pulled the white shapes from the ink drawing. The white circle was used to support the figues, giving the feeling of a background while also preserving the larger areas of shadow.
