Shadowsong Sig
2007, Photoshop, ImageReady, and WoW Model Viewer
This was a fun personal project. I created a this signature image to accompany my posts on my World of Warcraft guild's forum. The signature is designed to take up very little space, feel simple, and also represent the characters I play in game. Being a small small community, I was given the freedom to use an abnormally large final file size so long as nobody else complained about page load issues.
Initially, this was planned as a still image. However, being an alt monger, I couldn't decide which character I wanted to display, and had too many to fit them all in one tiny image. Since I didn't have the space limitation, I cheated and went with the animated version.
I love the models that come with the game. The textures are beautiful, and the simplistic cartoony feeling goes perfectly with the game world. Thus, I used a model viewer to position each character, took screenshots, filters the hell out of them, and basically used customized game art for the graphics.
